Deux assaillants masqués ont attaqué dimanche à Istanbul une église italienne en pleine cérémonie religieuse, faisant un mort, a annoncé le ministre turc de l’Intérieur Ali Yerlikaya. L’attaque est survenue vers 11h40 locales (9hH40 en Suisse) dans le quartier Sariyer d’Istanbul, a annoncé le ministre de l’Intérieur sur les réseaux sociaux. Une enquête a été ouverte, a-t-il ajouté.
Selon le ministre, une personne qui assistait à la célébration, simplement identifiée par ses initiales C. T., a été tuée. «Nous condamnons fermement cette attaque ignoble», a ajouté M. Yerlikaya.
