Mark Wahlberg told Access Hollywood that his daughter Grace is recovering well after a recent accident during an equestrian competition. “She’s doing great. Thank you for your concern,” he said, calling the incident “terrifying… it’s a very, very dangerous sport.” He added that Grace “is so dedicated and passionate.”
Grace had shared photos on Instagram from her hospital bed, including images from competitions, alongside a caption reading: “No pressure, we will be back.”
Wahlberg also highlighted his daughter’s discipline, noting her early mornings at the stables, daily training, and horse care routines. “I’ve kind of adopted this discipline as a parent. For her to have it at such a young age…” he remarked.
The exact extent of her injuries has not been disclosed. Wahlberg expressed gratitude to those who sent their well-wishes for her recovery.
Grace is the youngest of Mark Wahlberg and Rhea Durham’s four children, alongside Ella (22), Michael (19), and Brendan (17). Equestrian sports, particularly show jumping, carry inherent risks, and Wahlberg has previously admitted to feeling extreme anxiety watching Grace compete. Despite the accident, the family remains committed to supporting her passion while prioritizing safety.
